Extra Credit
Pick one of the following options to submit. Each option is worth 30 points.
A. Research
Do some more research into one of the three creators of West Side Story. Tell me some more about their life and work in at least 300 words. Please include links to any sources that you use.
B. Musical
Make a video or sound recording of you singing or playing one of the songs from West Side Story. Upload your video to a file sharing website (photobucket) or youtube and include the link in your video/recording. I am looking for effort and interpretation here rather than musical talent (although being able to hold a tune does help!). You can choose any song, you are not restricted by gender. For more information about videos please visit the forum.
C. Art
Make a poster for either a film or stage version of West Side Story. If you have specific actors in mind you can include them on your poster or it can be a general image to publicise the show. Try to make it different from the versions shown already in the lesson as if it is too similar you won't get the full 30 points. Use your imagination and you will be rewarded!
D. Puzzle
Everything in West Side Story would have gone a little smoother if someone had thought to build a few bridges between the two gangs... solve this bridges (Hashi) puzzle to link everyone together and earn yourself 30 points.
